What this site does not do

There are no analytics on these pages. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no heatmap, no session recorder, no social media widget. Nothing on this site profiles you, follows you to other sites, or builds an audience segment out of your visit.

The fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google Fonts. That matters more than it sounds: loading a font from a third party hands your IP address to that third party before you have agreed to anything. We host the files ourselves so that never happens. As far as the markup is concerned, reading this site contacts no other company at all.

Because nothing non-essential is stored on your device, there is no cookie banner to dismiss. That is not an oversight — there is genuinely nothing to consent to.

What is stored on your device

The reader remembers how you like to read: night or day light, and your chosen text size. These sit in your browser's own local storage on your device. They are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, they contain no identifier, and clearing your browser data erases them completely. They are not cookies and they are not used for tracking.

If you buy the guide, your browser also holds the order number for the few seconds between paying and the guide opening, so that it can ask our server for your link. It is discarded as soon as the guide opens, and closing the tab discards it too. Nothing else about the purchase is kept on your device.

Server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which — like every web host — records ordinary request data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. This is standard operational logging used to serve the site and to defend it against abuse and attack. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure. We do not use these logs to identify individual readers, and we do not combine them with anything else.

If you buy the guide

Checkout is handled by Paddle, which is the merchant of record for the sale. Paddle — not us — takes the payment, and it collects and processes your payment details at checkout as its own data controller. Your card number never reaches this site or us in any form. Paddle is named on the checkout, on your receipt, and on your bank or card statement.

What Paddle passes back to us is limited to what is needed to fulfil and support your order: your name, your email address, your country for tax purposes, and the order reference. We use it to answer support questions, to send your link again if you lose it, and to issue refunds. We keep records of purchases for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and no longer.

Paddle publishes its own privacy policy, which covers everything it collects at checkout, including what it needs for fraud checks and for working out tax. Please read it as well before you pay.

How the guide is delivered

Paying takes you straight to a private web link that opens the full guide in any browser. There is no app, no account and no password — that is deliberate, because the product exists to be usable at three in the morning. The link is unlisted and hidden from search engines, and access does not expire. We never ask you to create a login, so there is no password of yours for us to store or lose.

If you email us

When you write to [email protected] or [email protected], we keep your message and our reply so that we can deal with the matter and any follow-up. We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not have a mailing list.

Your rights

Wherever you live, and specifically if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month. There is no charge for this.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you are entitled to complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work. You can do that without asking us first, though we would rather you gave us the chance to put it right.

Children

This guide is written for parents and carers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. We will not quietly start collecting something and leave the old text standing.

Refund policy

Fourteen days, no questions asked

The guide costs $15.99. It is a single payment for lifetime access — there is no subscription, no renewal and nothing that will quietly charge you again later.

If the guide was not helpful for your family, tell us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not have to explain why, you do not have to prove you tried the techniques, and you will not be talked out of it. This is the same promise made on the guide page, and it means exactly what it says.

How to ask

Email [email protected] from the address you used at checkout, or include your order number. One line is enough — “please refund this order” will do. We do not need a reason and we will not ask for one.

You can also ask Paddle directly, at paddle.net, since Paddle is the seller on your receipt and runs buyer support for its own orders. Either route works. Neither is faster than the other, so use whichever you reach first.

How the money comes back

The refund is issued by Paddle, through the same payment method you paid with, and returns to that same card or account. We cannot send it anywhere else, and we never see or handle your card details in the process. Refunds are started within a few working days of your email; how quickly the money then appears is up to your bank, not up to us. If you paid by debit card or from a bank account, that is usually around five working days. If you paid by credit card, it can take a full billing cycle or two before it shows on your statement — that is normal, and the refund has already left us by then.

The refund is for the full amount you paid. We do not deduct a handling fee.

After a refund

Once you have been refunded, the purchase is treated as withdrawn and the guide is no longer yours to use or to pass on. The free pages — the safety guide and the full sample lesson — remain open to you and to everyone else, always, with no payment and no email.

Your rights under consumer law come first

Nothing on this page reduces any right you have under mandatory consumer law in your own country, including any statutory right to cancel a purchase of digital content. Where such a right applies, it applies in full and in addition to the promise above. Where your own law gives you more than this page does, your law wins.

What is not covered

This is a guide, not medical care, and the refund promise is about your satisfaction with the guide. If you are worried about your baby's health or your own, please contact your doctor, midwife or local health service — that is not something a refund can help with, and it should not wait.

Who these terms are between

These terms cover the guide sold on Martha Calm (marthacalm.com) to you, the buyer: what you get, what you may do with it, and how to get your money back. Buying the guide means accepting what is written on this page.

The payment itself sits with someone else. Paddle is the merchant of record for every order — it is the seller on your receipt, it takes the money, it accounts for any tax, and its buyer terms cover that part of the purchase. We make the guide and stand behind it; Paddle sells it to you.

That changes nothing about who answers you. Anything about an order, a refund or access goes to [email protected], and a person answers. Paddle’s own buyer support at paddle.net is there too, if you would rather go to the seller named on the receipt.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Any VAT, sales tax or equivalent owed where you live is worked out by Paddle and shown in the total before you pay — there is nothing to add afterwards and no separate bill from us. If your card is in another currency, your bank sets the rate and may add its own fee.

What you may do with it

The guide is for you and for the people caring for your baby at home. Read it, listen to it, come back to it as often as you like, for as long as you like. Please do not resell it, republish it, or post the private link in public — it is a single link, and keeping it quiet is what keeps it working for everyone who paid for it.

If these terms change, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top. A change never applies backwards to a purchase already made — your purchase is governed by the terms as they stood on the day you paid.
